Key points
Advocacy at national level
Consultation with the Ministry of Health through our seats in the Federal Council and the Technical Commission for paramedical professions, in the Recognition Committee for Medical Imaging Technologists and in BELMIP (Belgian Medical Imaging Platform). In addition, we are also regularly consulted by the FANC (Federal Agency for Nuclear Control) for round table discussions.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Promote collaboration and communication between medical imagers and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of integrated care pathways.
Defense of interests at international level
Representation at the annual meeting of the European Federation of Radiological Societies (EFRS), of which the VMBv is a founding member.
Communication and Engagement
Creating platforms for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between members, and promoting a strong community within the profession.
Ensuring transparent communication with members and other stakeholders about developments within the professional association and the field.
